Grown on Nkonge hill close to the Kibira rainforest on the border of Burundi and Rwanda. The coffee beans are grown at an exceptionally high altitude in a moderate climate. They are processed at Heza, a mill overlooking the Kibira rainforest. Sun dried naturally processed coffee are an uncommon practice in Burundi, but favourable conditions have led the team to pioneer this process. Commitment to the perfect moisture level means coffee spends 20-30 days slow drying. Flavour notes include grape and watermelon. These notes result in a cup that is syrupy, sweet and tart.
